Well all I can remember was it was jubilee year and spray painted on a wall on my way to school was 'the sex pistols' I had no idea what it meant.
Best play (repeatedly) of this was on the day after 'Princess' Diana died, very loud, windows open in Bernard Road, Brighton. Neighbours suitably unimpressed.

My favourite occasion of hearing this tune was coming out of Wango Riley's travelling stage between bands at the Torpedo Town free festival on Bramshott Common, Hants in August 1991.
A tune for each year of my life
This set of tunes comprise one for each year of my life. They are not intended to be representative of those years, just tunes I like that were released during each year of my life, clearly I wasn't listening to Hawkwind or Black Sabbath or whatever I'll pick for 1972....
